Get an instant price for your iPod Touch with Zapper!

First launched in 2007, the iPod Touch brought the early generation iPods to life in with its user-friendly touchscreen and sleek design. Since then, and 6 generations later, the iPod Touch has sold well over 100 million units. At Zapper, we are great admirers of the iPod Touch for advancing some of the bulky mp3 products we had become accustomed to in the early 2000s.

The Touch was first witnessed by the public during an Apple presentation called "The Beat Goes On" in the September of 2007. The device was lauded for advancing iPods from the Click Wheel to the touch-screen interface. Using a capacitive layer under a protective layer, the iPod’s circuitry detects the presence of your finger.

Alongside the touch-screen technology, the Touch’s ability to connect to the internet meant that users could now enjoy Facebook, YouTube, and apps like Angry Birds all from their iPod. The devices appear very similar to iPhones but have key functional differences such as the lack of phone calling and texting. Some say this is why the iPod Touch has stayed popular for so long, as users can enjoy music and apps without the relentless inbound texts and calls - sometimes it's nice to escape!

With each generation Apple brought new features, such as the built-in speaker in the 2nd generation, the front-facing camera in the 4th generation and support for Apple's Siri in the 5th generation. It's rumoured that Apple are set to release a 6th generation iPod Touch in 2018 and we can't wait to see it.

Whether you're anticipating the release of the 6th gen or just don't use your iPod Touch, why not sell to Zapper today? We always pay customers what we offer and delivery is completely free. That's we've had over 100,000 happy customers - great prices for even better service!"
