iOS7 and Apple Products
In September 2013 Apple launched the iOS7 operating system across its products. New products are now shipped with iOS7 (or later) and a large proportion of existing products will now have been updated to run this version of the operating system. If you have an Apple product the chances are it is running iOS7.
If you want to check which version of iOS you are using;
From your device select: Settings > General > About and find the “version” data. This will tell you the version of iOS you are running.
One the new features introduced with iOS7 was its Activation Lock security feature. This locks, for security purposes your iOS7 device to your Apple iCloud account. This makes it much harder for somebody to steal and reuse your device.
Unfortunately Zapper is unable to buy Apple iOS7 products that have activated Activation Lock security and remain locked to your iCloud account. You must unlock your device by removing it from your iCloud account before sending it to Zapper.
You can disable activation lock in two ways:
From your device:
Select Settings > iCloud,
Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the “Delete Account” option,
Confirm the delete options and enter your iCloud password,
Select Turn It off.
This will remove the device from iCloud and you may now send the device to Zapper.
Switch off your device,
Logon to iCloud (www.icloud.com) using you iCloud (Apple) id and password,
Select Find My iPhone,
Select All Devices and find your device which should be “offllne”,
Select Remove From Account,
Select confirm removal.
That’s it. You may now send your Apple device to Zapper.
